Skyward is the online student information system used by Fort Bend ISD to provide students and parents with 24/7 access to grades, assignments, attendance records and school resources. All enrolled FBISD students receive login credentials to access their Skyward student account.
Go to the Fort Bend ISD website at https://www.fortbendisd.com/ and click the ‘Skyward’ button in the top right corner of the homepage.
This will open the Skyward FBISD Access page.
- Alternatively, you can go directly to https://www.fortbendisd.com/site/Default.aspx?PageType=7&SiteID=4
- On the Skyward Access page, click the green ‘I am a Student’ button to access the student login portal.
- Your Skyward username is usually formatted as firstname.lastname (e.g. john.doe). If you don’t know your username, check with your school’s front office.
- In the second field, type your Skyward student access password. This will have been provided to you by your school.
- Once you’ve entered your correct username and password, click the blue ‘Sign In’ button.
Forgotten Password
If you’ve forgotten your Skyward password, click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link on the login page. You’ll be prompted to enter your username and choose how to reset your password – by email, text message or answering security questions.
Request Username Reminder
Don’t remember your Skyward username at all? Click ‘Request Username Reminder’ and enter the email address your school has on file. Your Skyward username will be emailed to you.
Unlock Account
If your account becomes locked after too many failed login attempts, click ‘Unlock Account’. You’ll need to provide your username and contact your school to unlock it.
New Student Enrollment
For brand new students who need to activate a Skyward account, your parent/guardian will receive a Skyward Account Request email. This email will include instructions for completing online enrollment and setting up your student Skyward access.
Student Dashboard
Once successfully logged in, you’ll see the Skyward student dashboard. This provides an overview of:
- Grades and GPA
- Upcoming assignments
- Recent attendance
- Email notifications
You can navigate to more detailed information using the menu options.
| Access Grades | Click ‘Grades’ to view your marks for each class and term. Drill into the gradebook to see individual assignment scores. |
| View Attendance | Click ‘Attendance’ to view your detailed attendance records including absences, tardies and attendance codes. |
| Check Schedules | Access your class schedule, room assignments, teacher names and school calendar by clicking ‘Schedule’. |
| Read Announcements | Stay up to date by checking the announcements from your school, teachers or the district. |
| Email Teachers | Easily send emails to your teachers with questions or concerns by clicking ‘Email’. |
| Update Profile | Keep your Skyward student profile up to date with your current contact information and education records. |
| Get Mobile Access | Download the Skyward Mobile Access app to view student info on your iOS or Android device. |
Troubleshooting Tips
If you have any problems accessing your Skyward student account, follow these tips:
- Ensure your username and password are entered correctly.
- Double-check spelling and capital letters.
- Try resetting your forgotten password.
- Contact your school office for login assistance.
- Check internet connectivity and try again.
Logging into Skyward regularly is the best way to stay on top of your grades, homework and school announcements. It enables you to take control of your academic progress.
Bookmark the Skyward login page and make sure you memorize your unique username and password. This will make accessing your student account quick and easy all through the school year.
